I didn’t know much about Markeshia and Marcus before their wedding. I did have the joy of meeting them the weekend before their wedding at my cousin’s wedding; Markeshia was one of Annika’s bridesmaids. We simply introduced ourselves and exchanged excitement for both Annika’s wedding and her wedding the following weekend. But upon arriving at Markeshia and Marcus's wedding I quickly learned they loved Jesus and they love him a lot!
Markeshia and Marcus were prayed over by a number of people all throughout the day, their wedding ceremony was dripping with gospel truth and their vows highlighted their need for a savior in a dark world. It was my honor to see the gospel on display in front of me and to see their desire to go forth together into a world so in need of Jesus and see it as their mission field.
Markeshia and Marcus, may this be just the beginning of a life centered in christ on mission together for the gospel. I pray together you see Jesus more clearly and love him more deeply. Congratulations to you both, I can’t wait to hear all about what you do for the glory of the Lord.
