“A soulmate is an ongoing connection with another individual that the soul picks up again in various times and places over lifetimes. We are attracted to another person at a soul level not because that person is our unique compliment, but because by being with that individual, we are somehow provided with an impetus to become ourselves.” – Edgar Cayce
When you meet with a group of future classmates you don’t usually enter thinking, “I bet I am going to meet my future spouse today’; and I don’t think that is what Abbie or Blake thought when they went to that first meeting with some of the people they would be attending PT school with. Blake and Abbie both attended The University of Dayton for their Masters/PHD program in Physical Therapy. They met before classes actually started during a meet up with several other people who would be part of their co-hort, and according to Abbie, she noticed Blake quickly. The lack of men in the program might have helped Blake snag the girl or it might have been their fun loving spirits that spoke to the soul of the other.
Abbie and Blake both completed PT school and have moved to Indianapolis to follow some career dreams, and have plans of moving to Arizona next fall. But I had so much fun taking their engagement pictures here in Dayton at UD. It was so fun hearing about their story and watching them interact with each other. They sang my soul song when they changed out of their nice cloths into workout clothes (my husband would have killed to take our engagement pictures in his t-shirt and sweatpants!). Abbie and Blake have contagious spirits who were willing to try anything to get a great picture and boy did we get some amazing images.
Cheers to you Blake and Abbie. Thanks so much for coming to Dayton and allowing me to capture such a sweet time in your lives. I hope your images remind you of your time at UD and this sweet chapter of your lives!
