Heather and Donn hit the mark with their wedding; it was perfection. Heather and Donn did not have an extravagant wedding; the church was not packed full of people but it was packed full of love. Being asked to be a part of this wedding might have been one of my biggest honors to date. Heather and Donn got married on May 12th in front of about 25 people. It was not that they could not have packed the church because I believe wholeheartedly that these two people are very loved and could have filled that church to the brim with people who care about them. No, they chose to only be surrounded by immediate family and a few dear, dear friends. They chose to say their vows in front of those who they believed would truly hold them accountable to them, who would love them every step of the journey and who would not pass in and out of their lives but rather be a force within them.
Heather and Donn are so very loved. They had a wedding that was as big a celebration that I have ever seen. Heather and Donn get it; they get what marriage is about and how big a role family will play in their success in their marriage. And I was truly honored that I was able to be a part of their day, to be treated like family and to capture such sweet moments for Heather and Donn.
Congratulations to you Heather and Donn, not only on the wedding but on your marriage that you started off so beautifully, surrounded by those you love most and those that love you.
