“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
Alex and Erin got married just over a year after they first met. Alex and Erin were both part of a bridal party last summer, Things took a while to fall into place; after Alex got Erin's number it took him forever to text her. However, once the ball started there was no stopping it. Erin might even tell you he would not leave her alone. But Alex's persistence paid off.
By no means was their dating relationship easy. First off they were about 5 hours apart. Secondly, Erin has a very big and tight-knit family. Alex had a lot of people to impress and get the "Okay" from. Alex made it know how much he loved and cared for Erin and her family was able to see very quickly that Alex was good for Erin and that he made her better.
Fast forward about a year and Erin and Alex are now living their own love story; they are the ones that get to say "I Do" this time, they have a house to make a home together and a beautiful life ahead of them.
Cheers to you Alex and Erin, may the Lord protect and keep you.
