John 16:21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
I will be the first to say this, I should have been doing this session about 8 months ago :/
Ava is the daughter of one of my very best friends from college and sadly it took me 8 months to meet her:( She is silly and spunky and gosh just look at those rolls. Ava was born on October 22, 2015. She was born via a C-Section after 22 hours of labor. Megan was admitted into the hospital to be induced after having high blood pressure. After hours of labor and 2 missed epidural attempts (finally followed by a successful one) Megan was not making much progress. During contractions Ava's sweet heart rate would drop and was taking a little too long to jump back up after each contraction. So Megan and Andrew along with their team of doctors made the call to complete a C-Section.
Now 8 months later Ava is full of smiles and the pain of that extremely long labor is a distant memory to Megan. Ava is such a beautiful gift. She is an image bearer of her creator. She is an answer to prayer. I am so excited to watch her grow up and even more excited to watch some of my best friends become amazing parents!
